THRAWN: ALLIANCES

Thrawn: Alliances
In a dual timeline, Thrawn, that blue guy from far off lands, and Vader, you know him, team up in the past and the "current" times.  Loyalties are questioned and an extra-galactic threat is discovered.  These are Not Thrawn's peeps.  They are some other beings known as the Grysk, a name that I pronounce like two gears grinding together. Their superpower is getting other species to work for them for reasons.  There were reasons.  I…
5+ Things I Liked etc…
Thrawn and Anakin/Vader team up. I love a good team-up, especially ‘bad guys’ antagonizing each other.
In “Current Times” Vader thinking his secret identity is unknown when Thrawn totally knows he’s the same Jedi from the team-up back in the day.
An Extra-Galactic Threat! I always like when the threat is not coming from inside the house so to speak. The Star Wars galaxy is very small for a whole galaxy.
Anakin basically destroying an entire planet. While not a likeable thing it is an interesting thing to see his ‘ends justify the means’ attitude and that little Vader seed in there. He’s supposed to be the good guy after all!
Everything Padme. That’s it!
A Little more insight into the Chiss and their hyperspace navigation capabilities, and Thrawn manipulating Vader into trying it out for himself!
A Disappointment: Eli isn’t around in this one. I was ready to find out about his secret Chiss mission, which to be honest not even he figures out until the very end of the next book. Thrawn’s plans and machinations are mysterious like that. Will anything come of it? A frustration with tie-in novels/extended universe things is the threads that get thrown out and never picked up again or only live to become wasted potential (especially the ones I personally want explored!), but only time will tell!
QUOTES & NOTES

“Do you expect me to believe that a tactician of your skill has not yet thought of a way to kill me?”

Another faint smile. “I have, in fact, thought of three ways.”

It’s always good to be prepared, especially when it comes to three ways.

This is the only quote/note!  I didn’t start making highlights until after I read this one!
